4th Annual 2018 WSRRA Ranch Bronc Riding Bash

The fourth Ranch Bronc Riding Bash was a success!  Thirty five cowboys/cowgirl came from Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Idaho,Nebraska, Arizona, Canada, Nevada and South Dakota to ride a ranch bronc in front of 450+ spectators. The cowboys/cowgirl and horses put on a western show for the crowd. This event was sanctioned by the Western States Ranch Rodeo Association and is an 8 Seconds Whiskey +40 point ranch bronc riding!

Hello readers! 

You may have noticed that I have been “missing in action” from my blog this week. Some of you may know that I like to keep busy and this past week I have been keeping more than busy!  I have been at the Western States Ranch Rodeo Association National Finals in Winnemucca, Nevada. Winnemucca is about 2 1/2 hours north of Reno.

At the WSRRA finals I have renewed thoughts. I have met new friends. I am thankful for my WSRRA family.  I am grateful for the opportunity to help at their event. Along with giving updates about the finals, I also filled in gaps along the way.  I found myself timing, running meals to chute help and judges, writing updates, taking pictures, catching it up with old friends, getting rides in the stage coach, loading a shot gun, loading bucking horses, sorting cattle, giving advice, talking to other producers, arranging the awards ceremony and more!!

As a result of attending the national finals I am happy to report that the western way of life is alive and thriving.  Cowboys and Cowgirls from around the western states of America showed their talents off and their traditions.  

I am grateful for the opportunity to not only help at the national finals, but to write for them as well. Watch for my articles in Rodeo News and Ropers News.

Our Summer in Review.

Our Summer in Review.

Summer..
Our hair gets lighter.
Our skin gets darker.
Our days get longer.
Our life gets better and better.

Today’s post is all about saying goodbye to Summer and saying hello to Fall.
Every Summer has a story. This is ours.
It went so fast.

We had laughter and tears.
We had muddy days and dry days.
We roped a few calves.
We rode miles and miles.
We have memories with friends and family.
The kids grew A LOT. (I might have grown a little wider too.)
We learned a few lessons.
We increased our faith.
But the most important things about Summer were all our adventures, smiles and memories that we will not forget.

We had snow in May!!

I represented the Western States Ranch Rodeo Association at
many Ranch Rodeos and Ranch Bronc Ridings. 

Part of my job was keeping up with this WSRRA Ranch Bronc Director-
Justin Quint. 

 I traveled many miles this year, representing WSRRA. Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska. The #wsrrarodeotrail was smoking this year and I was proud to be part of it.

Summer 2015 will never be forgotten.  It was the summer of Rain. 30 inches and still counting. 
and a Summer of washed out roads….

So we did what any Ranch Family would do…

We paddled on our Lake.

We spent a lot of time horseback.

We don’t have everything together, but together we have it all.

What’s a summer without SMORES!

And Beautiful Lakes.

We had lake fun with all these young kids. What fun!

Double A Feeds Ranch Rodeo & Hubbard Feeds Ranch Bronc Riding

It is Wednesday, July 22 which means in 3 days, Bridgeport, Nebraska fair grounds is going to be full of cowboys and cowgirls.  You see, I am the producer of the 8th Annual Double A Feeds WSRRA Ranch Rodeo and Hubbard Ranch Bronc Riding.  
I am inviting each and everyone of you to come to Bridgeport.  I plan this ranch rodeo with all my might.  I start the year prior.  I try to improve it every year.  This year marks my 8th ranch rodeo.
This year women’s and open teams, will be competing for a Championship Buckle.  I am especially excited for this years rodeo.  
This year will will be adding more Bronc Riders!  Over twenty to be exact.  Hubbard Bronc Riding is a WSRRA tour stop. Which means that Hubbard Feeds has added $2000.00 to the prize money and that WSRRA Bronc Riders get double points.  Come watch some good old fashion bronc rides. 
I take ten Open teams.  This year I have cowboys from Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.  I know that these teams will not disappoint you.  If you want to watch some handy cowboys please join us on July 25.
I would like to take this time and thank all of those that help me make my event successful.  Being a ranch rodeo producer is sometimes a challenge, but it is something that I like to do. I could not put on a ranch rodeo without help.   
My goal is that when July 25, 2015 comes to an end, I will have not regrets.  I want to see smiling faces.  I want to see the stands full.  I want to reward the hard working teams with a buckle and I want to send two teams to the  WSRRA National Finals. I will be sending a Open Ranch Rodeo and a Women’s team to the WSRRA National Finals. 

With that, I am inviting each of you again to come to the 8th Annual Double A Feeds WSRRA Ranch Rodeo & Hubbard Ranch Bronc Riding.

As most of you know that I am a Western States Ranch Rodeo representative and I find myself heading to sanctioned ranch rodeos and ranch bronc ridings.  Last weekend Cary and I made a trip to Saratoga, Wyoming, where Sierra Hatch produced a fine, western rodeo show.

I really enjoy going to Ranch Rodeos, because of the traditions, I like being able to chat with ranch moms and best of all to see some handy cowboys and cowgirls.  I thought I would share some of the photos that I capture.  Enjoy!

I have to admit, I did not get many photos of the ranch rodeo. Why you say?

It was an honor to watch this young man at the WSRRA Saratoga Ranch Bronc Riding. He traveled from Bangladesh where he was stationed to compete! He got on three planes and traveled more than 24 hours to ride his bronc and placed second! Thanks for serving our country and being a WSRRA member Mitchell Rataiczak!
