Circle L Sauerkraut Burgers

Circle L Ranch Sauerkraut Burgers

These are so simple and easy!
I make extras and freeze them.

This past weekend, when weather was cold, I decided to make one of our family favorites. We love sauerkraut and we love hamburger.  This recipe combines both of them.  It is a win-win!
You will not be disappointed if you like sauerkraut and Beef!
They are surprisingly easy to make and full of flavor. I don’t use any specific recipe, but I do add some of my own flavors & spices to create a Circle L Sauerkraut Burger that I call my own. The good news is that you can use your favorite bread recipe, Rhodes frozen rolls or refrigerated pizza dough. It all tastes good. This recipe makes 36 burgers so if you’re not feeding a big group, you can halve it.
Circle L Sauerkraut Burger
Makes 36
4 pounds lean ground beef
1 Tablespoon Mrs. Dash Table Blend
Salt & Pepper to taste
2 Jars (32 oz each) of Sauerkraut
3 cans refrigerated pizza dough, 36 Rhodes frozen rolls thawed, or your favorite bread recipe
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
2 Tablespoon Chugwater Chili Powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cook the beef in a large skillet until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess juice and return the meat to the skillet.
Add the Mrs Dash, Chugwater Chili and sauerkraut and cook on low, covered for 10 minutes until the sauerkraut is warm. Salt and pepper to taste.
I mix the kraut and Beef!
In the meantime, if you are using pizza dough, roll out the pizza dough until thin and cut into 12 equal squares.  If using bread dough punch it down and make 36 rolls.
When the meat mixture is ready, spoon an equal amount onto the center of each dough square, then fold the corners together to seal the meat inside.
Ready to go to the oven.
Place on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam, or a stone, sealed side down.
Brush the top with butter and bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes or until the dough turns lightly brown.
I served these with a fresh spinach salad. This is a very simple dinner, but very delicious too. Our family loves them and we hope you enjoy them too!!
